I have a tree texture in tga format. I use photoshop to edit it. the texture is 2d and have some fully transparent parts. the photoshop shows it transparent but when I save it, other programs show the transparent parts as white. I want the transparent parts to have an alpha value of zero. But I guess that photoshop does not support alpha channel. Am I wrong? How can I save it with alpha channel? Serdar
Photoshop does support alpha channel. Simply save your image as a TGA. Are you sure that these "other programs" that show the transparent area as white support alpha? Or are the just showing white because that is the color they use to represent alpha?

If you want a alpha channel in a 32bit targa in photoshop 6, just goto channels->new channel in the toolbars, and it produces a fourth channel, containing the alpha component.
