Prepare to feel old.
Actually, each of those comments are plausible, but altogether they seem weird. Maybe if they watched the kids playing for an hour and recorded the most interesting comments and tried to put them in order, it could be possible. But obviously some things were left out, at the very least.

After reading it for the second time, I would have to agree with I would have to agree with cowsarenotevil. This can''t be a complete transcript. In fact there is one point where they put a [ten minuets later] message.
Also, how many kids have you ever heard using the word "bestowed" or making classical greek mythology references "It''s Zeus. He''s taking you away to the Acropolis."
A leomand stand? where is the creativity in that? I was forced to play a leomand stand game in elemantry school in the late 80''s.
As for what kind of game you should make, how about a one button puzzle game that is fun for the whole family?

To take a stab at the dark I would say lemonade stand since it can handle it and it can implement some simple marketing concepts. I find that fun but thats my tast.

KarsQ: What do you get if you cross a tsetse fly with a mountain climber?A: Nothing. You can't cross a vector with a scalar.
Kids do act how the way they do like EGM showed. Sometimes I am surprised what they know and what wise asses they are, but they still lack logic and they do stupid things. Anyway I let an 8 and 10 year old play early 80’s games and they seemed to like it. But they did not get influenced by games like grand theft auto 3 or other new types of games as much. Their skills suck but they get kick out of it for a bit but not for long.
The kids in EGM were brought up with improper games and more advance in technologically advanced games as well which is why they talked like they did and expected more. It’s like people that go first class don''t want to go back to second class. I think kids should play the old games first to appreciate it more since it was cool to see the development of games form 4bit Atari, to 8bit nes with the sound, colors, and having a title screen, and more buttons, to 16 bit, and so on.
Maybe in 20 year from now kids will think that the ps2 and xbox are lame and lack everything they have in the year 2023. Which I will probably agree with a degree to what they think of the games that are out now, but that''s the best we can come up with without having a star treck halodeck.
As for an Atari game people should check out new classics if they care for it. Anyway as for me making a puzzle game, here is a shot at it with such short notice, but since its short notice it’s not planed out well since I wanted to do a fast one. Also Tetris could have been on the Atari but I guess Atari didn’t tell Russia about games yet lol.
For puzzles I thought of graph table so I thought of a chess board in a way so I came up with a few lame ideas which others can tweak if they want since if they can’t improve pong that so good then you can improve something bad. lol Also If I was a master programmer I would be programming by now than on the forum.
1
A 4 width by 8 height checkered board
You have 8 peaces, 2 go diagonally which one of them moves 2 steps and the other goes 3. The other 2 go vertical and horizontal which one moves 2 steps and the other 3. The third pair goes all direction which one goes 1 step and the other 2. The fourth pair goes only forward for diagonally forward and they both can go 1, 2, or 3 steps.
2
Another variation to that would be that you don''t jump on them but push your opponent off the edge of the board.
3
Another one is like is like a Chess/Battleship/Tetris kind of game.
You have 6 peaces, 2 are 1 blocks, 2 are 2 blocks together,
And the other 2 are 3 blocks together in an angle shape which you can rotate it on the board. The 1 block moves 3 steps, the 2 blocks move 2, and the 3 move 1. When your opponent jumps on a peace of your big block you loose the peace and get turned into the other peaces depending if 2 parts of you got eaten up. You can also jump on your own peace if you want to cut a peace off to make it go faster.
I was thinking of having another 3 blocks that are straight or have the other one shift but I didn’t play it out at all to think about it.
You can like them, hate them, but say something to make it better.
