In the beginning 80''ies I played battlezone in a game hall. Now I thought, it would be fun to program a vectorized game like that. Well I have played the new battlezone on the PC and like it. But I think the old vector look and view could be fun. Is there a pc version of the old battlezone ? TIA Wolf

Microsoft published an arcade pack about a million years ago, it had Battlezone, Centipede, missile command and another game that escapes me for now. These games were actual ports from the Atari coin-op versions.

Even the sound in Battlezone was the original (I always thought the speakers in the coin op game were bad, in actual fact it was the sound sampling in the game!)

Hey that sounds great. No one has a piece of code ?

It shouldn''t be too tough to figure out on your own. The vector gfx will make things easier for you.

FYI: Over the weekend I was in Office Depot (US - Florida) and I came across a Hasbro (spit) compilation title of Atari Coin-op games. It claimed that these were direct ports to Windows. It had about 5 games of which Battlezone was one.
