Right now the majority of MMO''s are RPG''s. Similar to DnD or Final Fantasy. We''ve had an MMO FPS. But Im wondering if anyone would be interested in a MMO Adventure game. The way I use Adventure to describe a game is in the sense of Zelda, Secret of Mana etc. Where you build a characters stats, but the game still depends more on player skill instead of character skills. I would love to see some decent platforming involved in a game like this (think mario), but the question is do you think that technology is at a point where this would be feasible right now?
Ideas presented here are free. They are presented for the community to use how they see fit. All I ask is just a thanks if they should be used.

I think a multiplayer game like zelda: a link to the past would be interesting, but I would stay away from MMO for now. I''m still waiting for an MMO witohut major flaws. So far, I like planetside (just started the 7 day trial) but it has too many bugs and annoyances for me to pay for it regularly. Whatever you do, make sure combat is fun (too many games focus entirely on combat when it seems the combat system got 5 minutes of design time and the system for buying hats got a few days).

i think it would be neat (even everquest would be somewhat fun if you could run around actually stabbing all the lame monsters), but player skill goes right out the door with lag.

Wow, what a great point.

ya, im getting sick of the current state of MMO games. All the combat is the same boring stuff: click the target, let the computer do the rest, oh and kick a few special attack move buttons once in a while...

Aoccdrnig to a rscheearch at an Elingsh uinervtisy,
