Ideal MMO
If you could create an MMO, where there were no technological limitations, I.E. Lag, memory, or any other such thing, what would you have it do? Also if you had unlimited time to program the game...I.E. the ideal part of the title
Any city or village would have a completely believable population. They would do more than just stand around. I wouldn''t have them be growing old and having kids, but they would have believable traits and qualities. Cities would have large amounts of NPC populations just like the above. I want the player base to feel like they are the exception, not the rule of the people in the game.
The ability to destroy doors, break through walls, and other such things.
(depending on the type of game) A robust player skill (not necessarily twitch) based combat system. OR a CHaracter skill based combat where you could choose your target on thier body, knock weapons out if you wanted, so on and so forth.
Real stealth in the game.
NO ZONES!
Mounts/vehicles that use real physics.
any others you all can think of?
Ideas presented here are free. They are presented for the community to use how they see fit. All I ask is just a thanks if they should be used.
A cultural ecology with visible interaction between cultures, and player decisions that can impact how cultures relate to each other. Diplomacy, etc. It would be interesting to see how things evolve, especially if a culture realizes it is heading for its own downfall by listening to the wrong people.
Subcultures that auto-generate within cultures (especially the isolated ones), with their own hierarchy of leaders and primary influences...
Just sounds interesting.

It's not what you're taught, it's what you learn.
You would be able to interact with everything in the game.
Attack a fort, then use some wood from their walls to make a fire to burn the bodies, then use more wood to build a raft to carry their loot to your place.
You would be able to see tracks of other players or vehicles that have been there. Or broken leaves if someone bushwacked thru the jungle.
NPC''s would remember people they had interacted with... so you could ask "have you seen Haxorman lately?" and they would be able to answer. Or ask them if they overheard something someone else said.
NPC''s would run thru town during an attack, asking for players and other NPC''s to help while the more sedentary and youthful NPCs head for cover.
Stuff like that...

Ideal MMO: One with roleplay.
My ideal? dunno too broad a concept. I don''t like MMOs anyway, but that''s bias against the typical instability and relative bloat of most MMO games
I would REALLY like to play a game that built on the Diablo II/Battle.net concept, in that the players can all chat to each other and trade in some fashion outside of the game, but gameplay itself was something that had a certain amount of guaranteed speed, because the games were individually small. it also means that I can play with friends and avoid assholes (the biggest problem with MMOGs)

I have already experienced the ideal MMORPG ... it's called "real life".

GTA... multiple player lead factions... the city can go into complete crime (everyone else fled in terror and its just the crooks around) or vigilante players can make it right? Cabbies players make some cash transporting people... until they get carjacked. Which might not be long... no stats etc. just a 3rd person shooter/driving game.
