Hello Everyone. Wrote a track in about an hour last night. Not too thrilled about the way it turned out (track does not really go anywhere). Thought it may be interesting to post it here to see if anyone had a use for it, or if they would want to remix it with new instruments/effects, maybe expand it?? Just thought I would try to brighten things up around here, posts seem a little redundant lately... Let me know, can post track info including chord structure and progression if anyone is interested. Also, would be interesting if anyone else has any "failed" tracks they would like to post for fun and possible remix. Comments as to why you believe these tracks may have "failed" would also be interesting. http://www.angelfire.com/film/midi1977/Cold.mp3 Thanks, GameGenie
I don''t know too much about music theory, but I do like listening to game music, and I listened to your track above. It sounds fairly nice, but I think I know a way it could be improved. The song seems to have a melody that would convey a somewhat happy and jovial scene within a game. Try to use the same basic melody and structure except make the music convey a scene more dark and mysterious. I think if you do that, the song would be a knockout. I hope you understand what I mean.

Quite fast paced and cheerful. I like it.
A little too happy to -really- be useful, broadly. Seems to suit a FPS or platform game, as they''re fast-paced (As opposed to RPG''s or RTS games).
Too much reverb! The tune though is nice, sounds a lot like an O.M.D. track. Add some lyrics and put the tune on soundclick.com. I''ve got a few 80''s style pop songs on there that I''d definately consider ''failed''!
