is there a theoretical aproach on console-rpg battlesystems?
well... the topic should actually sum it up pretty well. what i actually search are some formulas like:
difficulty = (enemies_health / average_damage) / ( partys_health / enemies_average_damage )
the idea behind such a collection of formulaes(?sp) is to deliver an controllable tool when calibrating or balancing the difficulty or the experience gained per monster.

Hmmm.
So they may get less xp if they use the right potions in the right time?
