Fighting Engine
Hey, um....
I''m making an game for the fighting platform and I Just want to ask so questions.
What will be the best engine for a mod maker/Fighting game?
I''m going to make the engine mostly traditional. The game is like a 3D Mugen. Please give me help, please? Plus, i need help on a Story maker.

Well, more information should be good here.
What do you want?
2D? 3D? Simple models? Complex models? Particles? Free Camera? 3d or prerenderd backgrounds? Do you have C++ coding skills?
However, if you want a simple engine with limited 3D graphics but very easy, use Dark Basic. You can download a free trial.

Fighting games are nice in that they have low polygon requirements due to only having two people and not much in the way of scenery in their scenes. You can make it look better with more scenery or 3d backgrounds, but they aren''t necesary really. So most engines could work for this.
If you are asking which existing engine you should use there are many choices. If you know c++ there are more choices than if you don''t I''m not going to list all the engines here as google would be more helpful and list more options, but I currently use the blender gameengine as it''s easy to script and fairly capable. (I''m not making a fighting game though) Although it does have a few bugs that make things pretty difficult, and it has some speed issues which probably wouldn''t show up in a fighting game.
But there are many good free/cheap engines out there.

I''m currently in the process of building a product very similar to your Aboriginal7. To really help with design, you need to know what you want to do with product when you are finished. I see you mentioned Elecbyte''s M.U.G.E.N. product. Do you want to make something like that? A pluggable engine geared toward fighters? If so, then your best bet it study M.U.G.E.N., look at the techniques and the technology used.
Not too give away too much of my project, but you may want to see what you like and don''t like about M.U.G.E.N., and build your engine around that.

Yes, I did mention Elecbyte's M.U.G.E.N, and yes, I am making one just like it, and yes, I am studying the game. I just wish i can get some of the source code. Elecbyte doesn't give out the source code of mugen. besides, the game is 3D, using OpenGl. If i do get it, how'll will it help me other than the mod making of the game? Even still, I would love to get the source.

It should not be that hard for you to make your own fighting engine since you have to deduct the basics on what a fighting game can and cant do, thats assumption of it.
Also what do u mean about a story maker? If you mean to make a story then maybe you should ask the people in GD writing forum.
Maybe i am totaly off topic but i was just saying some things.
