What is the Best Language?

There is no best language. The only advice I can give is that you should use what works best for the job.

Bloodshed Dev-C++ is *free* and can make Windows programs and DirectX programs if you hack around in it. www.bloodshed.nu

Besides, if you are a serious programmer, you get the GNU tool kit, although, I saw it priced at over a thousand a pop.
