Just a question.

I''ve only played the first Tenchu stealth assassin, but I''ve always thought that a multiplayer (not MMO, but more like tribes or quake) version of that game, or even one like Metal Gear Solid could be interesting, what do you think.
Ideas presented here are free. They are presented for the community to use how they see fit. All I ask is just a thanks if they should be used.
With those stealth games you have to admit that the reason you got most of those kills was due to limited ai. The NPCs hearing was limited and their view cones were distinctly simple.

Replace one of those NPCs with a real human and all of a sudden the idea of creeping up on them is a lot harder. A human does''nt have a set path and they are more unpredictable.

I''m not saying its impossible but it would certainly be a challenge.

The problem with any multiplayer stealth games is that all participants are expecting an attack and thus will behave in an unrealistic manner to avoid being attacked.

When playing AI, stealth games revolve around the premise that these guards have been guarding this area for quite a while and would not thus be extremely paranoid or expecting an attack as it could well be just another night of nothing happening.

This is impossible to recreate in a multiplayer sneaker without creating large periods of boredom which would turn away even more players.

I think the new Tenchu game for PS2 has multiplayer mode where you can kill each other.
