quote: FPS Games (Most to All) - The complete opposite, talk about your most absolute cloning effects! Whoopie, new guns, different areas, maybe one good innovation out of every dozen or so clones (Like when Quake, etc. fragfests became big for the short time they were, or the Rainbow Six effect - same shit, different setting ) It''s mostly been a constant remix that would have you feeling Joe Stutter was in on it (Yes it pisses me off )
Well First of all, I''m going to guess that you don''t like FPS games to begin with. Second I have to say that if your not interested in a certain genre, all the games of that genre look the same. Once you get interested in a genre a game that someone else might think of as a knock off is actualy very innovative and good. When you like a game, you become absorbed in the nuances of the game and can tell when something is different and new, as opposed to a rehash. In my case the genre i''m not really interested in are sports and RTS games. So all the games look the same to me. Especially sports games..i mean they''ve been doing sports the entire time they''ve had video games...how much more can they add...ask a player who''s into it and he can tell you the difference between last years game and this years...
