$500/minute sounds rediculous...
I am someone who believes someone should charge by the song, not the time it takes writing a song. Someone could pay $500/minute to someone who purposly takes their time writing music (and who wouldn''t, really)..

I think he meant $500 PER MINUTE OF MUSIC.

yep, $500 per minute of completed music is correct.
and that is right at the bottom end...(hehe!)...of the salary scale. A real hardened professional will double or triple this figure easily!

apart from the voice, each part is ''one note'' held down on one ''synth.'' this is all freeware, available at http://home.earthlink.net/~plattermatic/vsti.html
all you need to do is load it into any free sequencer that uses vsti (there''s a lot of them) and program a note, and it will ''play'' for that long. it took me about 10 minutes to make.. you could move parts around and make longer ''songs'' without having to write each part.. think of it as an auto-composing ''acid'' except w/ synths instead of sample loops.
made with synthedit, also free
