First of all, there are no such things as "Character Tiles." They are either sprites or tiles. Tiles being the things like grass, water, dirt, and transistional tiles. Also, your site is nonexistent. I tried many variations of what you typed, but I had no luck. Last of all, google "sprite sheet" for character sprites.

Well isnt that special.
My site IS existent.
And they ARE tiles, because they are imposed on the grass!!!

I got a big old 502 (connection hangup) when trying to go to your site. Are you hosting the site yourself? Is the comp that hosts it running Norton Internet Security?
One way or another, your computer seems to not be accepting anything on port 80.
Anyway, Thanos is right. When you talk about background, you talk about tiles. When you talk about foreground or objects that move in the game, you talk about sprites. You see, tiles are placed next to each other in succession. They comprise a 2d map that becomes the background. You can animate tiles, but they don''t really move or react.
Sprites on the other hand can move and react. The reason the terminology came into play was because of how development worked on early systems like the NES and SNES or Genesis. They were all based on these concepts.

I don't know what I did different from you guys, I just copied and pasted the site right into the address bar and the site was up and loaded in about 3 seconds.
