Easy - Bind Character Studio Biped to Object
Here''s a straightforward one I''m sure someone can answer. I''ve looked at the tutorials, but they still aren''t exactly what the doctor ordered.
I want to bind a character I created in character studio to an object (let''s say a snowboard). For now, let''s say I know he will never leave the board (to make the software development side easier). What''s the best approach to constrain (or attach) the biped''s feet to the position and angle of the board, while remaining free to animate the rest of the character as needed.
Thanks!
Here''s what I came up with for now. It worked alright so I''ll post it. If there''s a better way, please reply.
I created the board as a separate mesh. I went into its motion tab and created a position and rotation constraint which I linked to the rider''s back foot. This was the key - just worry about linking it to one foot.
I am now imposing my own constraint on animating the two feet together so the front foot cannot slide around on the board. It would be nice to build that constraint into the model.
