I can''t get the profiler to work from the IDE (MSVC 6.0) in Win2000. The menu option is grayed. I had the same problem with Win9x, but then I just fixed the environment variables, and it worked, but that doesn''t work in W2k. Any ideas? Regards, Laarz

A friend of mine installed Win2k with lcc-win32. The profiler worked fine there. If you really need to use the profiler, ditch MSVC and use lcc-win32 j/k.

I have no idea why the profiler for MSVC doesn''t work under win2k. Heck, I don''t even use msvc. Why don''t you browse through the MSDN docs? That should be of some help.

As far as I know you have to be logged in as Administrator to use the profiler in WinNT an Win2k. When I tried it I had to log in really as user Administrator. It didn''t work with a user that was member of the Administrator group.
I am using windows 2000 pro with MSVC 6 and I haven''t had this kind of problem with it. Actually i always use administrator account so I don''t know about other acounts. Anyhow i don''t think that it might be ur win 2000 since u had the same problem with win 9x.
