VectorC is a C compiler that allows you to take advantage of MMX, 3DNow and Streaming SIMD Extensions. Right now it is in beta, but this is the pricing for anyone interested:
quote: VectorC is being made available at a special price for beta testers. If you buy now, before the full product release, you pay £400 or US$610 or EU$670. (+VAT @17.5% for European Union customers). The price increases by 25% at the time of release of version 1.0. Buying VectorC for Windows gives you immediate access to the faster, non-debug build of the compiler and you can download the complete version at no extra cost when it is available - as well as future updates.
That''s twice as much as Intel C/C++ and it doesn''t have C++ support, on the other hand it does have support for 3DNow! I still think it''s too expensive though... - n8 nathany.com
It''s definately too expensive for this kind of tool. A programmer that knows how to take advantage of VectorC will also know how to use MASM with the extended syntax to get similar results, using free tools.

The biggest thing missing from VectorC is C++ support anyway, as long as that''s not included, I will not be interested in paying more than the price of an empty CD for it.
