A friend of mine (who''s not to familiar with Gamedev) would like some help on a question.... oh wait... i know how to phrase this! "Hello incredibly smart and handsom people of gamedev.net, I seem to be having trouble with [VB for Applications], here is the problem explained thoroughly..."
quote: You know the Legend that appears on a chart in excel? The one that tells you which line on a graph is? I need to find the name of the object that contains that label. It''s something like Charts("chart name here").Legend.??? What comes next? I searched the MSDN, but it provided no help for me. Here''s an example to change the text to italic: Worksheets("sheet1").ChartObjects(1).Chart.Legend.LegendEntries(1).Font.Italic = True this is all the help files say: "Each legend entry has two parts: the text of the entry, which is the name of the series associated with the legend entry; and an entry marker, which visually links the legend entry with its associated series or trendline in the chart. Formatting properties for the entry marker and its associated series or trendline are contained in the LegendKey object. LegendKey: Represents a legend key in a chart legend. Each legend key is a graphic that visually links a legend entry with its associated series or trendline in the chart. The legend key is linked to its associated series or trendline in such a way that changing the formatting of one simultaneously changes the formatting of the other."
Any help you could provide would be greatly appreciated. I bow humbly before the greatness I am in the presence of. 40 www.databyss.com www.omlettesoft.com "Don''t meddle in the affairs of wizards, for they are subtle and quick to anger."
