If you''ve got VC++ that you paid for, then you should have MSI stuff...

Go with Grellin''s suggestion. I''ve been using Inno Setup for years - it''s better and easier to use than Wise or InstallShield. MS has even recently used it themselves - check the notes on Jordan''s site.
Yeah I use Inno Setup too

Any other solution? I tried Inno and it''s not powerfull enough (conditional component installation etc.). The thing has to be shareware or freeware... and scripting capabilities too.

Try Nullsoft''s installer. It''s called NSIS. If you''re having trouble installing it, surf to one of our developers sites. He runs the Atomic Monks website and wrote a basic GUI for the NSIS, since it doesn''t come with one. I don''t remember what he called it. His GUI doesn''t incorporate all of the functionality of the installer, but it does the basics and by looking at the output, it will help get you started.

Give Spoon Installer a try. It is open source.

Spoon Install looks good but it doesn''t have scripting capabilities.

I just tried the modified version of Inno (My Inno Setup Extensions 3) and it will do the job. The only thing I hate is that the scripting is done in the Pascal language...

Thanks all!
