Excellent (2d, non iso) map editor.

I haven''t seen it mentioned here, so I thought I''d let you guys in on a tip... check out: Tile Studio. It can be a little slow, but it''s got alot of great features for 2d tile games (especially the import feature!) Joe-bob sez: check it out. -- Pryankster

Yeah, I've started using it for my game. The coolest part is that with it's export function, you can generate just about any file format you need (it's hard to make it generate a "binary" format, but a simple level-compiler will do the trick).

My only complaint with it is that it's slow as hell.
(and it would be nice if you could set bounds on the map without clobbering the existing tiles)
