I''ve been starting work on some tile sets... and, I found this to be amazingly helpful. Just curious if any others use this all the time? And maybe if anyone knows of any downloadable action scripts that perform similar functions? Basically, I''ve been making action scripts that let me make a texture, and it automatically chisels out all the transition tiles I need... and I''m working on one right now that chisels out "walls" for the engine. Amazingly helpful!!

Well, what would be even more amazing is if you posted some EXAMPLES
Not everybody here knows what an action script is, or even what you are on about, and I am sure some might want to know !

LOL - my bad. I haven''t mastered mine yet... Maybe I''ll post my wall one when I have it down....

Actions scripts are really simple. Just click on the "Actions" tab right by the history toolbar. You can hit "Record" and it will record everything you do to an image...

So, lets say you have a series of images that you need to resize, crop, desaturate, and add your name onto... To save time, you can press "record" do everything you need to do to the image, and then press stop. Then, you can open up your next image, press play, and it performs all those commands...

The trick is your layers all need to be named the same thing in each.

What I''ve been using it for... is I''ve been making my walls out of a texture... so I can start with say... a 64x128 texture, and it will generate some molding and maybe a wash shadow, and bevel the top, then create a new layer for each "angled" version of the wall and add the appropriate 3dness to it, and then also chisel out doors...

this is also nice, because it will assure everything in your system is the SAME - BY THE PIXEL.

Has anyone messed around with action scripts used to compose a sequence of other files into one sprite sheet?? for example I have a run cycle animated in 24 64*64 seperate bmps and I want to combine them all together into a single file witout having to get RSI from selecting all copying, pasting and then aligning etc
