His name''s Orchid. The shading''s a little uneven, but I''m very proud of how the linework came out. I might get my courage up and ink it. Or maybe take a stab at drawing the rest of his body and designing some nice harem clothing for him (he''s a harem slave). You can''t see it in this picture, but he has a tail. He would have claws and fangs, but they''ve been cut off and capped with gold because he got in trouble for clawing his owner. He may look delicate and have a flower for a name (which he detests), but he''s a bitch and a half when he loses his temper. ^_^

I want to help design a "sandpark" MMO. Optional interactive story with quests and deeply characterized NPCs, plus sandbox elements like player-craftable housing and lots of other crafting. If you are starting a design of this type, please PM me. I also love pet-breeding games.

Interesting. Did you draw that with an ink pen?

Time on that, you''ll get good with lot of practice

keep it up.

Actually I drew it with a mechanical pencil, that''s what I normally use for drawing, and I colored the eyes, hair band, and forelock beads with 2 shades of gold pen, although you can''t really see that because the scan''s a little too dark. If I go over it with ink and black marker I''ll be able to scan it lighter, and the colord will show up more clearly.

Here's version2, the full body; no details or clothing yet, this is just the anatomy and proportions check.

The second one is very well done.

I like the face and haircut of the female version. The second version is more complete and looks very good.

Erm, both versions of the pic are male. Thank you all for your positive opinions. ^_^ Since nobody had any concrete changes to suggest I made a few little changes I thought it needed (angle the tail connected to the body, hands...) and finalized the lineart. I''m still not so sure about that elbow, I should look up elbows in my manga anatomy bood I suppose. Anyway the new line art should show up in place of the old one, if not just hit reload and it should be there. Next step, costume design. ^_^

Kajima - I need the criticism more than I''m afraid of anyone stealing my stuff. I don''t draw for a living, I''m not sure I''ll ever be good enough to draw for a living, because I''ve been improving steadily by agonizingly slowly. Plus, these particular images are just to help myself and a cowriter visualize the characters we''re writing a romance novel about, they''re not intended to be part of a manga project. So, I''m not too worried about copyright.
