Mr. Monitor doesn't like me
When I click build in VC++, my monitor goes blank. Then I have to reset my computer to get a picture back. It also does this when I try to install Need 4 Speed: High Stakes. What wit dat?

You might just be going outside of your scan range if you are switching display modes

u can''t blow it up by changing the res, but you can blow it up with setting a high refresh rate to it

I doubt you can "blow up" your monitor by setting the refresh rate too high, you might break or damage it, but not blow it up. Saying that however, I did "blow up" my old 14" monitor. The power supply on my old computer's case was faulty and the machine kept rebooting. One time the computer started rebooting many times a minute and suddenly there was a huge spark that came from the back of the monitor, then there was a large smell of burnt plastic. Suffice to say that was the end of that computer

Maybe he just had one of those special "Hollywood Edition" monitors with the C4 (explosive) upgrade, and the super-CRT that''s bright enough that the glare reflects the screen content across the faces of those using it and causes cancer.
