I need to write a small game-demo. I''ve designed my engine, but when it came to thinking of the game''s idea, it got tough. The only requiement is that it has to have something with fire, air, water, earth - Nature much like in GameDev''s Elemental contest. Can someone suggest a fun gameplay for such a mini-game?
How about a puzzle game where you have to push tiles around to get out of a level - you could have fire tiles that you can''t step on and ice blocks that you can use to put out fire. You could have holes that you fall through for air, and earth blocks you use to fill them so you can get past that =-)

"My engine" is a 3d engine with
Skeletal Character animation
Quite a nice landscape renderer with dynamic texture-geenration based on height
Particle engine(3d meshes can be used as particles e.t.c.)
Shadow mapping

(Well, probably the weak side is the lack of a very good collision detetion, but that can be added).
Blah-blah-blah
You get the main idea.

Extrarius: I was just thinking more of a game with some action in it, though your idea seems quiet interesting and I''ll think about it.

Do 3d Pong man, that''d rock seriously. I reckon go for it, you''ll be the l33t g4m3 d35i6n39.
