My friend sent me this.

But my wife has pointed out model morphing could be used in a wholesome way like moonwalker and black and white. It does not have to be offensive! As pointed out in a previous post MJ was always at the front of SFX and thid could be similar to the elements contest.

There is not going to be a Micheal Jackson demo contest, Jeff got a email from someone stating that he felt the same as Jeff in regards to the "life with Micheal Jackson" show that was on tv, and gave him the idea, thats all no worries

I think we should still have a LOTR:TTT contest. I mean, no-one would have been coding it since last year surely, because people would want to match their demo with the film and not their own interpretation of the book so that the audience would know what that demo was showing (anyone understand what I'm trying to say?)
Also The Two Towers has loads of great scenes that could go in a demo, The Battle at Helms Deep, The towers themselves, even Gandalf vs Balrog if they wanted (even tho technically that was in the last book)
I really hope it goes ahead coz I didnt have enough time to finish my fellowship demo (which can be found here if anyones interested) coz I had exams, now I have loadsa free time so im kinda looking forward to it

Reading the news at NeHe Productions, I think that NeHe is ironic about a MJ contest.
I like his work but I personaly don''t feel inspired for making 3D demos from him or his clips. Idem for scooter. Plus such demos would attract copyright problems for the sound theme. Who would make a scooter demo without a scooter tune ?
LOTR:TTT is a very, very interesting theme. I''m a bit sceptic about the "I coded my entry since last year" as it used to be a question for gamedev''s 4-Elements Contest. I have to disagree about the fact that people who read the book would wait for the movie : both are the same. Some visuals were "invented" for the movie, but overall there is almost no difference.

I wasnt meaning to propose that as a demo topic, just ranting on its something Id much rather do than a Michael Jackson demo.
Im sure if there was a scooter demo, we''d get several demos all with ramp (the logical song) as the music, and I dont know about you, but Id kinda get sick of watching all the demos with the same music going (even tho Ill rave to scooter anytime of any day)

Here''s an idea for a demo contest- not sure how appropriate it is.... but a "War-with_Iraq" demo is something that I would really like to do. It could be approached many different ways depending on one''s views and I think the demos could really be meaningful.
