Now I''ve seen all of them. My candidats for winner are Andreas Hammar, Quin Pendragon and Sebastian Brandt. Can''t decide for a single one. Alot of nice stuff in all demos. Will be fun going trough the code when I get some free time from this damn exams...
PS : sorry my demo crashes on some machines.. (James Trotter:can you send me log file my demo created. email is in the profile)

... i am so out of the running
... oh well considering it was my first demo ever and i made it in less than 4 days, i think it turned out ok. -PmanC

baldurk: none of them are designed for linux (at least from what I''ve seen) but most of them can be executed using wine. (just fyi : wine is a Windows emulator for linux which works very good. those demos generally are easy to emulate thanks to the way they''re programmed : C/C++ and OpenGL !)
_DarkWIng_: no the demo did not crash... on my Radeon !

Oh, I''ve been a bit fast.
Almost *none* of them run under linux, even with Wine.
Some work, though. PManC and Julien Amsellen, for instance, work very well.

=P i guess im' out of the loop, but hey i made it in just a couple of hours.
I would have ported it to linux, but i know nothing about linux programming so i skipped it, it would be nice if someone would port it to linux.
James: you probobly have a crappy machine, no, really, it's a little computer intesive so if your CPU is inferior, it runs fine on my AMD XP1800+ with a GF2 but on my brothers celeron 450/TNT2 combo just dosn't cut it it took 30+ seconds for the first frame.

_DarkWIng_,
Your demo didn''t crash on my machine though it didn''t work right the first time I ran it. For some reason, near the end of the first scene everything went to wireframe and none of the text looked right. The second time I did it, it all looked right. I don''t know what the difference was. Anyway, thought you might like to know.

My demo, "Fudo Style", was music-synced on my comp but I''m worried it wont be on others. Was it?
yes, it came out fine on mine, the syncing was very impressive I must say.
