i needed some help in d3d im.
i am developing a real time strategy game in vc++ & dx7 im.
My QUESTION =>
how do i pick objects in 3d space from 2d mouse coords??
is there someway of stealing it from the rasterizer or one of the world,view or proj matrices or should i write my own ray picking routine??
if i have to write my own ray pickin routine how in the world do i do it???
