IBM compatible and PC terms

Are computers other than Macs (and some "super" computers) still considered IBM compatibles? I think they should because IBM is a standard of how a computer is made, just like Macs. Also, can the term PC refer to Macs because they''re also for personal use?

I don''t think it matters and they aren''t called IBM compatibles anymore, they are called intel-based computers. IBM compatibles is just as dead as the word "nifty"
IBM really isnt a player in the industry anymore...they actually make chips for apple now. IBM hard drives are big, as well as some of their embedded stuff. I think we just call them PC''s or wintel machines now.
