When should I move into 3d
Hi, I''m a newbie when it comes to game programming, I''ve just started to learn. I''ve been wondering... When should I start learning 3d? What I''ve been reading and learning so far is on 2d. I know t hat I''d rather do 3d, but I decided that I want to learn some 2d first, cuz I''d feel guilty if I didn''t, hehe. Anyway, I was wondering how much 2d I should really learn that would be useful before I move into 3d graphics? Thanks for any help/suggestions.

Well, for 3D you need physics and math (trig), and LOTS OF IT (not to mention an artist and 3D modeler )!!!
You can move into 3D whenver you think you have almost mastered these aspects, and you''ll also have to learn a interface (DirectX, OpenGL), etc, to program in. However, i recommend you polish your skills in 2D before moving on to the next dimension!, but hey, whenever you think your ready.
