Great Sequel Idea
I am sitting here trying to think of great old games and I think of the usuall: Mario Bros, Zelda, Metroid.... But I come across something in my memory that really hits you and makes you feel so exciting and almost about to cry to it brings back memories. This great memory happens to be Nemo: Dream Master. This game came out when I was about 5 (1991). So I do some searching on the internet for some screen shots to bring back the nostalgia of this livid memory. I found a couple but wasn''t to happy. Then I found a page with an NES emulator and the game so I download it and I play it. The game is as great as I remember. So after getting frustrated at this game because it is as hard as ever (I think I learned my patients from early video games), I thought of a great idea. Why not make a sequel to the game, and build on where it left out. Keeping the same level idea of a side scroller but boosting the 2D graphics up a bit and it would be great. Go look up Nemo: Dream Master and see what I am talking about. Wow! I am just so giddy.

In his defense (if indeed he wasn''t breaking the law He mentioned playing the game before and to me that leads to the notion taht he may actually own the old cartrigde. And if you actually own the cartridge then I think you are entitled to play the rom version. Of this I am not certain but it seems to be the concensus on many websites as well among the college computer science community where I attend.
Now, if you don''t own the original cartridge then SHAME on you for playing a rom. And SHAMER on you for admitting it in a public place.
If I''m wrong here please correct me. I don''t play roms because frankly I prefer newer games and the ones I play leave little time for other games. I still have alot of old NES, SNES, Atari, etc. cartridges, and a machine that will still play them if I get the right person to blow into the insert slot
Just a little defense before we fly off the handle and shun someone who may not be doing anything wrong.

But admit it, you don''t REALLY own that cartridge do you?

And put the cartridge all the way in and pull it out slightly.
In the case of a 12 years old game, I honestly can''t see the big problem. If it was still *in any way* possible to buy the game legally, yes, but today you can''t get either a NES or that game anyway...

I never really got into the game, but it was still pretty fun. If I had an emulator I''d probably track down a ROM and give it a shot.
A sequel? Well, it could work. I''m not going to set my hair on fire or anything, but I could definitely enjoy a game that uses some of the ideas from Nemo. It doens''t really have to be a sequel, though. Just rip off the best ideas and use them in your own game. It''s the American way, baby!
