I''m currently in the alpha phase of programming a game, at the moment its very very similiar to the popular board game Risk. I was just wondering if anybody had any ideas on things that would be interesting and unique to see in that type of game.
a "nuke" button...

it is the equivalent to knocking the board off the table when you are losing, except with better graphics.

What about expending the game''s territory to include space? You should keep the game simple and you shouldn''t add to many new units to it. Expending the game to space, to get more than one planet involved seems to be one of the only options to me.
or
do like a WW1 thing so that after a huge battle or something, if the nation your fighting has a lot of influence in the world, you automatically just lose some territory..

that and maybe if you stuck in some fps fighting mini games like, oh this country attacks this country, do you (the player) wish to join in on the battle? yes? or no? and have them pick off people or something...

do a search on google for Fracas.

It''s a really good, but very simplistic strategy game.

I''m guessing it''s about 5 mb big.
