I've made a client-server game using DirectPlay7. The game supports up to 6 players including the server. When ping times are in range between 5-50ms everything runs fine, but when a HPW enters the game the server hangs =(
I've tried fixing this problem with various things; session flags, minimize the sends, async messaging etc. But nothing has helped yet :C Is it possible to use directplay with ping times around 100-160 without the server freezes/hangs, if so.. how? Is it still me trying to spam the clients to hard with messages? I mean... it's only 6 players =PP It should work, even with DirectPlay, right? The clients has newer experienced any lag/freezes.
