Really?? I don't remember doing calculus at all in school… algebra, vectors and matrices yes… but calculus… nada… but maybe I just went to a dud school… having to learn it all over again 20 years later anyway… sigh..

Calculus is usually the highest math class offered at most high schools. If you take Physics, a lot of physics classes are calculus-based, especially in the area of mechanics.
I have been lucky to go to a school with a good math program, but I still sympathize with what this guy is trying to do. I still remember learning programming when I was in the 2nd grade and wondering what a "power" was. I wish Google had been around then...
