OK, this may sound crazy, but I believe that it is possible. I mean, just think back about 8 years ago, what was the fastest speed computer? A 20 mhz or something? 1 or 2 MB of ram? Look where we are today, 1 Ghz and gigs of ram (for a server or something). 8 years ago, if someone would have figured out a way to do this, you would have called thim crazy and said it was impossible, but look how it is today. Sure, this could be a joke, but if it isn''t it would revolutionize the industry, kieren would be a billionaire, and we would all be happier than we were a week ago. =) I would just like to encourage kieren and if it''s a joke I hate you.
hmm, you did click on "post new topic" instead of "reply", didn''t ya?
anyways, start to hate him already now cause some things never change

Look everybody, I know nobody believes me...and even those who say they do are just saying it so that when I''m rich they want some money .
Let''s just leave this topic as it is; if nobody wants to talk about it then dont!!

the end.
look my son, it is not that i wouldn''t believe you. i believe in a lot of things.
the point is that what you are claiming is impossible.
i''ll just say it again. IMPOSSIBLE.
it''s just that easy, nobody will be able to invent a compression on an arbitrary sequence of bits/bytes whatever that is much more efficient than the ones that are common at the moment.
of course with a lot of research and work you can improve things, but not in 20mins and especially not you.
Okay.. I''ve really enjoyed reading this conversation, as a joke . It has been fun.. But as Ridcully said, "CAR" is impossible. But anyway, kieren_j, I don''t want to discurrage you; maybe after some 20 years or studying and reasearch you might actually invent something good (but really nothing like 102% compression
