I''ve been searching for a good intro to Windows programming book, and have had poor luck so far. None of the local (read: 1 hour away or less) bookstores have a book that starts from the beginning. I have been able to infer alot from a couple of books I have bought, but I would like a book that sits down and explains the event/handle/id basic stuff that all the books in my area seem to skip or gloss over. So. . . any recommendations? Thanks. n-
I haven''t read any books about Windows API (yet) but if you feel like browsing through a lot of book reviews, I recommend: http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg/browse-books/-/3868/102-5629001-1691225

Otherwise, here''s a lot of tutorials, including Win32 ones: http://www.flipcode.com/tutorials/
