4. Will the the next Windows ( on 64 bit ) bring any significant change in the game programing for this platform?

Would that be Palladium? The product that makes us curse Microsoft for all eternity? I believe the next OS they have planned will far outreach what they (should be) are allowed to do.
Palladium will require a "Palladium chip" installed on the motherboard to even run. This chip will be impossible to remove/disable without disabling Palladium. Palladium will have the full capability to scan your hard drive at Microsoft''s whim, look at your files, and if they''re illegal (read: if MS doesn''t like them), Microsoft can not only delete or change them but flag that file name so NOBODY else using Palladium can use it.

Which brings me to the OTHER problem with Palladium (yes, there''s more). Microsoft has wanted the Internet to be theirs since its invention, and they believe they''ve finally found a way (and they may be right). Only Palladium systems will be able to make any kind of connection over the internet. This means that anybody using a Mac or a non-Palladium PC will not be able to connect to the standard web servers we all enjoy now - servers like the one(s?) GameDev uses. Intel was one of the initial proposers of this, and AMD is going to support it as well, because, at least, I''d like to believe, they don''t really have much of a choice (not supporting a new MS OS = fail).

Sorry about the rant...

Would that be Palladium?

No, it wouldn''t. He''s talking about .NET Server 64-bit Edition. Which won''t pose a problem for most developers, unless you''re doing high-end stuff. I guess games could be affected by the switch to 64-bit since a lot of the stuff we do involves bit twiddling and so on, but you won''t have to worry for some years to come. And who knows? We may be all using .NET or Java by then anyway.

Also your rant about Palladium is rather uninformed. I suggest you read up on what Palladium is actually about, rather than just trusting what you read on slashdot...

If I had my way, I''d have all of you shot! codeka.com - Just click it.

Thank you for that link , and I''ll try to download the book but it says to me that it will take +90 minutes coz I have a low speed connection to the net. But hey , if it realy is the full version of it then I am a lucky person coz it will be my first book from wich to realy learn how to program well

And the other link that CaptainJester post looks very good and I allready found a nice book there that I like ..
So thank you guys .... you are realy helping me here

If you got more useful links/resurces you are more than welocome to direct me to them
