Some of the ai things ive seen is like making tons of invisible spots on the screen that are checked to simulate AI procedures? is this all that AI is in games or is there more?
Er, no. Your question is a bit too general to be answered properly. AI is Artificial Intelligence. Roughly speaking, in computer games this is any sort of decision-making code, such as how to get from one place on a map to another, how to decide which weapon or spell to use in combat, learning how to navigate a 3D map, and many more. There are regular threads that ask what AI is, so I suggest you look there for more definitions to give you the wider picture, as well as looking through the Articles & Resources section (link above).

"AI" is a movie by the renown Stephen Spielberg; It sucked, especially the stoned ending.

...that''s because Spielberg is not Kubrick, who wrote the original screenplay... although he died before completing it and Spielberg attempted to finish it off... and failed dismally!

But that''s just my opinion.

As to what AI is? That depends on who you ask and when you ask it!

Cheers,
