hanyone have wind rune? me :,(
I am a 14 year old boy and i have been trying many different programing languages(VB,using Delphi and pascal[most recent], C++, C, Java)and I have decided to continue with Delphi and pascal. My problem is that I am a visual learner... and It''s DAMN HARD to find useful resources. Meaning that I only learn so much before I lose initiave and intrest... I need some person to person help. I just can''t learn anything else from internet tutorials. That means that I that it''s just stupid to get a book for somthing i won''t learn anything else from... and THAT means I need some person to person help, from someone who has used Delphi and pascal.

You''re doing it the wrong way in my eyes. When I was learning C/C++ I always made some funny programs after I learned something new. Every 4 or 5 pages(sometimes more, depending on how much I learned) I wrote some silly programs. They were useless but fun to make. It made me use the newly learned stuff and stuff I''ve learned before so I would understand it all and not forget it fast. Since Delphi is Windows based you can quickly create apps and see how fun it is. For example:
Make a simple program that counts the number of times you''ve pressed a button. Display this number of times on the screen above the button. When the counter hits 10, let is display and msgbox with something like "You''ve pressed the button 10 times. Groovy!!" and set the counter back to zero. Compile and run the program. After that, it gives you a good feeling if I''m correct(It did when I programmed some silly, useless program). I hope this helps you to keep interest for programming. If you still lose interest with these things, I might start thinking that programming is nothing for you....
Maybe you should also try to write some cool tool when you understand loops, variables and files.

Thanks for the ideas... But I don''t know how much I can do. I Can''t do much except the EXTREAMLY basic code... like making a program that asks for numbers in an array than tells you the numbers(and disappears about ¼ of a second )... I can''t get much of anything to work much... I also can''t get the Read() command to work(if Read is an actual syntax command... I don''t know much syntax ) I hope somebody can teach me person to person though. It''s getting REALY annoying to try and find a USEFULL online tutorial.
P.S. I kinda messed up on the name... I don''t know how the hell it became what it did... I said somthing like "Can anyone help me. I need some person to person help :,("...

Wait, are you doing DOS or Windows? And isn''t Readln the correct syntax for DOS reading? If you need some specific help with Pascal/ simple Delphi(Delphi is Pascal) drop me a mail. I have some Pascal knowlegde since I''ve used it @ school and I once wrote a breakout game with it.
