I''ve played every single MMOG that has ever gone live and a great many still in beta.

Isn''t that like 30-40 MMORPGs at least? How do you pay for all the monthly fees .

I''ve heard That Elite is gonna be developped for the GBA. Is that just a rumor ?
Darkhaven Beta-test stage coming soon.

There was an earlier RPG on the old 8-bits called ''Bard''s Tale''. This has to be one of the fore-runners to the modern RPG...

The Bard''s Tale was the first game I ever completed, and has been very influential on my life since then. I am currently half-way through Bards Tale 2 - better late than never.

Other classic games for me (although long-time posters will probably know these considering I use them in examples all the time):

Lords of Chaos and Laser Squad (the games X-Com was based on)
Realms of the Haunting
Doom 2
Ultima 7
Thief: The Dark Project
Command and Conquer (I just can''t get into Total Annihilation or Starcraft...)
Merc MUDs
Civilization
Soul Blade (the only beat-em-up I really liked)

[ MSVC Fixes | STL | SDL | Game AI | Sockets | C++ Faq Lite | Boost | Asking Questions | Organising code files ]
Commodore 64:
Pool of Radiance
Summer Games/Winter Games

Mac:
Marathon I, II, and Infinity
Mechwarrior II
Sargon (chess)

PC:
Starcraft (definitely #1 on my all-time list)
Unreal Tournament
Civilization
Asheron''s Call
Might & Magic II, III, IV, VI, and VII
Bard''s Tale I (never played the others, for some reason)
Leisure Suit Larry I & II. They were just too funny.
Scorched Earth
Tetris
System Shock I
Planescape: Torment
Alone In The Dark I
Diablo & Diablo II

Other than Starcraft, these are in no particular order.

The ones I''m watching to make this list are Warcraft III, which I''m playing, now, and Asheron''s Call 2. AC2 is the first game I can remember that I''m actually excited to play.

Cheers,
Russ

The best games I''ve experienced:

Console games:

Super Mario Bros. 3
Super Mario World
The Legend Of Zelda: A Link To The Past
Super Metroid
Super Mario RPG
UN Squadron
Super Mario 64
GTA 3

Then on the PC:

King''s Quest 5, 6, 7
Sierra''s Robin Hood
Leisure Suit Larry 1, 7
(I pretty much loved any Sierra adventure game, and those are just the ones I played.)
Quake Team Fortress
Tony Hawk 2 (I never got the first one)

Yeah so those are my favorite games.
Arcade:
Silent Scope 1&2, it''s all about that spiffy PSG-1 controller...

Time Crisis 1 & 2, It''s all about the action pedal!

House of the Dead 2, Gotta love it!

Police 911, or something, it''s that one where you have to move, and duck and stuff...that game RULES!

Lethal Enforcers

PC:
Civilization 2
Deus Ex
System Shock 2
Starcraft
Jagged Alliance 2
Fallout 1 & 2
Arcanum

SNES:
