Say I don''t want to use a font in a game, but it''s used in a cinimatic? Like say there''s a newspaper in a cinimatic. Do I have to licence the font that''s used in the newspaper? (its a newspaper I made, not a real one) How strict are the rules? Like does Yahoo have to license fonts to use, even though it doesn''t distribute them?
I like the DARK layout!
Fonts are a tad bit like software, some are freeware, some are shareware, and some have to be registered.
So, if you are using a font like Arial, or Times New Roman, included in Microsoft Windows, AFAIK they are freeware which means you can use them without restrictions.
Some fonts you could use in such a way only after you have registered (the shareware fonts).
And some, like the fonts available on the Adobe website have to be payed before you can even use them at all (like the Goudi font).
