Hello all! I am sorry I am kind of new here so I don''t know if my question is ok with the site''s rules or not. Anyway, I want to build a game and I really don''t know about art in games. I still need to design it a little and I didn''t started coding but I want to build up a team for the game The game is MMOG that you travel in space and you can go to space stations talk with people do jobs watch for inventory and all of this in open space world. If you would like to join the team please E-Mail me!
After the Brood War expansion the three sides in StarCraft were balanced so perfectly you could use them to align pictures on your wall.
Greetings yochai and welcome to the forums. I''m posting this so you won''t get overly frustrated if you don''t have any takers. Usually an artist will only take a project for free if the game is at a point in which it shows lots of promise. Afterall, the main reason to work on a game like this is to showcase his/her work and also to show that (s)he can be an integral part to a successful team. Unfortunately, most of these projects never get finished, so it is in the artists best interest to work on his own portfolio or learn new skills until he finds a project that either extremely interests him or will showcase his talents. My advice to you is to decide exactly how you want your game to work, then figure out how you can make it work, then make it work with sample graphics (use the ones in the SDK, find other ones to use with people''s permission, or even take other people''s art and give them credit for it). Then when you are further along, invite artists to hear your game design, tell them exactly what you want them to accomplish, and show them what you''ve got so far and your current schedule regarding additions. I think you will find much better results in finding an artist (perhaps even several) if you take this approach.

Anyways, I wish you the best of luck on your game
