DirectX SDK installation problem
Well...Here''s the problem simply stated: I run the setup for DX SDK 8.1 and it fails because it can''t find drive C. The truth is that I have a G drive instead a C drive, so does anyone know how to change the setup so that it won''t require me to have a C drive?
Ehm, yon decide where you want it installed yourself. So just change that C:\DXSDK to G:\DXSDK. No hassle.

Thanks, but the problem pops-up when the setup is "preparing to install." Which means all I have done is double-clicked the setup.exe. Do you have any ideas about this case?
if u can''t install the SDK,try to get the libs, headers, and docs from a friend, this are the important part of it.
Well, the only part of the sdk that really requires installation is the developers'' runtime, which is in DXSDK\SDKDev. You can just copy entire DXSDK directory to one of your hard drives, add appropriate include/lib path to msvc, and you should be set.
