Point me in the right direction
Hello, I am like many just starting out and very interrested in marketing my game that is at the time only 60% complete. It is a 2d game such that you might see on shockwave.com. It uses a buy/sell/advance concept much like the ever popular shareware Dopewars. With a game like this i want to know which direction is the most profitable to take. How much of my own money will I have to put into advertising or publishing? If you could please post your advice and price estimates. I originally wanted to market as a simple demo shareware where registered users can download the full version.
