Thoughts on XBOX game design

okay, I broke down and bought an Xbox to see what it was like. I hate M$, but I''m curious about the hardware potential of it as well as the upcoming game designs for it. I''m seeing some neat ideas coming out for the Xbox, Project Ego and another less well known title called BC are intriguing to me. What I''m very interested in is an upcoming game called BC. It''s set in prehistoric times...and although the game features humans and dinosaurs co-existing, the game premise seems VERY intriguing. In a nutshell, the game is about survival. You have to hunt and gather food (and learn rudimentary farming skills) while protecting your tribe against dinosaurs, other fauna and competing tribes. While the graphics look gorgeous, I think it''s the game premise that looks interesting. But what''s more intriguing is that I think console designers seem more willing to push the envelope and create games that don''t fit any kind of mold. I''m not sure why, unless maybe it''s because even a bad-selling console game tends to outsell even mediocre computer games. Therefore game designers are more willing to take a chance. Any thoughts?
The world has achieved brilliance without wisdom, power without conscience. Ours is a world of nuclear giants and ethical infants. We know more about war than we know about peace, more about killing than we know about living. We have grasped the mystery of the atom and rejected the Sermon on the Mount." - General Omar Bradley
