We Got Rocks
Not quite what I envisioned. I wanted things to be more regular and shot too fast. The concept of the gun ended up taking too much to get that much gain. I ended up having the asteroids grant small portions of money if the ship collided. Splitting money between speed and trying to keep up with asteroid health seemed too harsh. That and the reward was getting clumped up anyways, either they all crashed into you much the same time… or the gun was strong enough to kill them quickly one after the other.
I believe going with just having to reach the asteroid and forcing them to be spread out fulfills my goals better. I'll save the gun for later. I may re look at the combat idea, and delegate it to a challenge style stage.
UX and ADs
Cleaned up a few of the assests to hopefully make the UI a little clearer. I also added an option to watch a short ad for a money boost. Using AdMob, I'll let you know what if any experience I gain from this next time.
What Planet Next
Short update, holliday week took more of my time than I wanted it too. Next update will be more visual and have the help panels completed. I'm working on simple particle effects to show ship speed and whether youre warping or not. Visuals for when you gain gold or increase stats for more responsive UX. Confirmation panel for when you prestige. Along with three new prestige upgrades.
