Hey guys.
I'll be posting my experience, methods, and all other stuff that I'll come across rewriting my engine, I started writing this engine about a year ago, Well performance was my real problem esp. when I added GI and volumetric lighting so I decided to rewrite the whole engine.
So far I've written the data structure and mesh loading functions with a test-render function so I can check stuff. Been recently testing several shadow mapping methods which I will post the details on my next post.

Looking forward to it, I've done basic shadowmapping, but never looked into VSM, CSM or the plethora of other methods with any detail.
