Holy crap has this been a ton of work... AND THERE'S STILL MORE TO DO!!! Now that I have the major game play elements worked out, I started focusing on polish a bit today. I wired up some sound effects, and Kaylee even recorded the piggy oink sound. So, technically, she's a game developer at age 7.
I put in the start of arcs of fire, and movement markers so you can see a little more of what is going on, but I need to reduce the clutter. The game is even starting to get a little fun. I wired up music, and I'm very pleased with that. Thanks to my lovely wife for searching through countless pages of free to use music.
Tomorrow, I need to get a big boss showdown cut-scene and boss-fight done. I also need to wire up the rest of the sounds and record more for the monsters. If anything isn't close to being done, I have my chopping block standing by.
There's lots of cool projects out there too. Keep up the good work everyone. Only 2 more days to go, so stay strong, stay focused, and code well!
