Ogre 2.1 has been made officially available. The new release of the open source rendering engine includes:
- HLMS - high level material system to generate shaders automatically

- New, more flexible and faster compositor
- Refactored with cache friendly techniques, SIMD instructions, AZDO, auto instancing, and multithreading
- Area lights
- Parallax Corrected Cubemaps
- Forward Clustered lights
- HDR
- Exponential shadowmaps
- And more
