May 2020 Tokyo Japan, FORUM8 the specialist developer of photo-realistic 3D virtual reality software has announced the acquisition of the copyright for the Chidori Gaming platform from Premium ARTS Inc, a creative studio at the forefront of digital content technology for broadcast, entertainment and commercial applications.

FORUM8 is continuing to work together with the Premium ARTS development team to release a new version of Chidori with enhanced functions in spring 2020, which will be available free-of charge for individual non-commercial use as well as universities and colleges to encourage students to use the game engine as a tool for educational programming projects.
FORUM8 is also encouraging all students competing or looking to compete in FORUM8 hosted competitions such as the Cloud Programming World Cup (CPWC) or U-22 Programming Contest hosted by CSAJ to take advantage of this great opportunity and use Chidori in creating their submission.
