I''m just getting into game development, and I''ve got a pretty good handle on the programming side of things (at least for a beginner). But I''m having trouble finding any good resources for a beginner on the art side of things. I certainly don''t expect to become some sort of artistic guru, since my talents tend more towards the code side so far; but I would like to be able to make my own average artwork for the small games I put together as I learn and practice more. I have Paint Shop Pro 7 and TrueSpace 4.3, along with a couple of books, but it would be really helpful if someone could point me towards an online tutorial on how to work these sorts of programs to make game artwork. So far, the articles and books I''ve found seem to assume that I''m already an accomplished 3D modeler or 2D artist. Thanks! --Roderick Smith

Well if I were you (and if you have some money) I would go to www.aliaswavefront.com and download there learning edition of maya. Then they have learning kits (I belive somewhere in th $2,000 range) read the books, watch the videos.
I''m a vegitarian, not because I love animals, but because I hate plants.
