I''m using VB to open the map format i''m designing and i notice that after using the "close filenumber" method to close the file my system resources stay down and by the time i open about 10 files and close them 1 at a time i have about 3% system resources left. Please Help!!! Thx Vegeta

Try using the "reset" command instead of close. This clears the buffers to disk.
